Movements for Listening
A groundbreaking tap dance album, made in collaboration with some of the best musicians in Norway, to be released on the Dutch label Esc.rec in 2023. "True movements for engaged deep listening. It is a record for the top spots of the Year List 2023 for sure." Vital Weekly "Eraker elevates: It's captivating, and it works in a natural way - not just on the level of ideas. The images, movements, instruments and sounds create a kind of materiality that is difficult to translate into text." Jazzinorge, about the release concert |

One Small Step
An improvisation trio with Roger Arntzen on double bass and Vegar Vårdal on fiddle and folk dance, with a recent first album called Gol Variations on the Portuguese label Clean Feed Records. "Anyone who still remembers the way David Moss plays the drums or even when Han Bennink leaves his drum kit and starts to play on everything around him, gets an idea of the sound universe of “One Small Step”. ... Very beautiful because it puts us in a medicinal sound asylum, full of curious musical events, strange sounds, where there is an enormous capacity to make music with what results from the movement of the body, with architecture and with the moment." Tap Noir
A solo piece for one tap dancer and three stroboscope lamps, where the dancer triggers both light and sound, and it results in a horror-inspired performance where you don't know what is real anymore. "Rarely has a dry warning about the use of strobes turned out to be so timely as here, because the piece Tap Noir is a lot like a 45-minute fever dream. I am slightly nauseous, and I love it."
